Today's Affirmation
"Today I can find my 20 seconds of courage.  Today, I can start over at any time."

It's never too late to start over.

We give ourselves all kinds of excuses for not moving forward with life choices.  One of those excuses is "It's too late."  But the reality is, it's never too late.

We can start over anytime we want to, anytime we choose to.  If the day is going badly, just STOP for a minute.  Breathe.  Refocus your mind.  Think, "I'm starting over right now."  Then open your eyes, and DO IT.

I know what you are saying, I do.  You are saying, "That is a lot easier said than done because....."  and then you will give me a list of reasons why you cannot just begin again.

But I am telling you-Get over it.  Stop making excuses for why you CAN'T, and start coming up with reasons why you CAN.

We are our worst enemy when it comes to sabotage.  For whatever reason, we don't feel that we are strong enough, smart enough, capable enough, deserving enough. As my mother would say, "Baloney!"

YES, we are strong enough; we are smart enough; we are capable enough; we are deserving enough.

How much is "enough" anyway?  It is measurable??  No, so "enough" doesn't have to be a large amount, it just has to be, well, enough.

Over the weekend, I was watching a film with Matt Damon called We Bought a Zoo.  One of the lines that impacted me was "All you need is 20 seconds of all out courage."  Imagine that!  Only 20 seconds invested in the courage it takes to actually do something profound.

Of course we're afraid, of course it's risky.  But those 20 seconds of courage could be just "enough" to change our course, our thinking, our beginning again, our whole lives.

Is 20 seconds really that long?  Time it.

We need to stop falling victim to our own fears and our perceptions.  We need to move into a place of power and take our lives by the reins.

Today, find your 20 seconds of courage, and start over!

May you find blessings in everything today.

Love and Light,
Robin
