A Cleansing and Blessing For Your Home

 

There is never a bad time to move old energy out of your living space, cleanse the space, and make room for the new energy and more positive en energy.  Energy accumulates, just like the items we shove in our closets, and periodically we need to clean it all out. 

Also, the more people traffic we have in our homes, the more energy is left behind.  It's not a problem if the people coming and going are positive and well balanced people (such as ourselves), but if the person is a negative person, then that is what he leaves behind.

 

Here is an easy and effective cleansing ritual that you can do.  All you need are a few supplies.

Here is what you do:

 

•  1 bundle of white sage (from any new age shop)
•  a smudge pot (any small ceramic or glass bowl or dish or shell to catch ashes from the burning sage)
• a bag of small white, unscented tea light candles
• time to dedicate to the process of the cleansing
•  an empty house with which to work (it is best to have everyone out of the house during the cleansing)

Here’s what you do:

• Slightly open a window in each room to allow any smoke from the burning sage to escape.

 

• Place a tea candle (on a safe surface) in each room.

• Stand in the middle of your house, light your sage, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, move the sage around your body.  Say this or something similar:  “I release all negativity from around me.  I am clean and clear and I cleanse and bless this house.”

• Next state your intention for the cleansing ritual.  Say this or something similar, “With this cleansing ritual, I remove all negative energy, old energy, unproductive energy, stagnant energy from this living space.  All is clean and clear, and only Light shall enter. So it is.  So it shall be in accordance with all that is good and true and pure in the Universe, for our highest good and the highest good of all concerned.”

Move to each room of your house following these steps:

• Allow the sage to smoke, tapping it on the smudge pot periodically removing the ash.

• Begin with the windows-trace the outline of the windows and left and right across the window.

• Say this or something similar:  “I release all negativity from this space.  All is clean and clear and only light shall enter.”  You will use this statement for the entirety of the cleansing.

• Next, wave the sage into any closets careful to get up into the corners.  Repeat your statement.

• Then walk around the perimeter of the room, waving the smoking sage into the corners and around the entirety of the room.  Repeat your statement.

• Once the room is thoroughly saged, light the white tea candle.  Say this or something similar:  “The Light and Love of the Universe (you may substitute “God” for “Universe”)  completely fills, protects, and blesses this space.  This space is now thoroughly clean and clear and only the Light shall enter.”

• When you are done, stub out the sage.

• Allow the candles to remain lit until they are completely burnt out. 

 If your home needs extra cleansing and protection:

• Take the sage outside, walk around the house, as close as possible, waving the sage around the foundation of the house.

• Say this or something similar:  “This house is reinforced with the Light and Love of Universe.  All is clean and clear and only Light shall enter.”

•  Repeat this process around the perimeter of the property to add an additional layer of light and protection.
